Eaglets qualify for African Junior Championship after thrash Guinea 4-0

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets Sunday in Conakry, defeated Guinea 4-0, to qualify for the next round of the African Junior Championship on a 7-0 aggregate.

The Eaglets won the first leg qualifier 3-0 in Calabar a fortnight ago to now set up a final qualifier between the winners of the match between Mali and Algeria in the middle of November.


On Sunday, the Eaglets led 2-0 by first half with goals from Alhassan Ibrahim and Isaac Success.

Success scored again in the second half to complete his brace with goal scorer Ibrahim and Ifeanyi Matthew outstanding for the visiting Nigerians.

Musa Yahaya completed the rout with a fourth goal for the Eaglets.
