Lagos Ranked Third Worst City Place to Live

In a survey done by The Economist Intelligence Unit, under the Livability Ranking and Overview survey, the result showed that Lagos is the third worst city to live in. Lagos was ranked 138th out of the 140 cities that was surveyed.

Political and social stability, crime, education, and access to health care amongst others were some of the benchmarks used in ranking the cities.

The only cities that were ranked above Lagos include:Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh was rank the overall worst city while Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea came second in the chart of the worst cities to live in the world.

Lagos State Government yesterday condemned its ranking by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) as the 138th of 140 cities surveyed for worst living conditions.

Special Adviser to Governor Babatunde Fashola on Information and Strategy Lateef Raji, the pollsters were not on ground.

He said: “I think what they were trying to say was that probably Lagos State is the most expensive city to live in that is what they are used to saying, the rating is there for everybody to see. We have a functional transport system, and we have a functional health system, we can’t be the worst.”

Please EIU give me a break; Lagos cannot be rated amongst the worst cities.
