The unwholesome activities of a notorious Lagos terror gang code-named, “One million boys” which has been giving residents of Ajegunle, Apapa and its environs sleepless nights in recent times has been brought to an abrupt end with the arrest of no fewer than 130 members of the gang during a raid carried out at the weekend.

It would be recalled that the gang members were noted for rape, theft and robbery activities in Tolu, Boundary market and other areas within Ajegunle, Apapa.

Following incessant reports of attacks by the gang, Umar Manko, Lagos State Police Commissioner (CP), said yesterday in his office in Ikeja that he instructed the Commander, Area ‘B’ Command, Apapa, Mr.

Mohammed Alli (ACP) and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Apapa Station, CSP Usman Ndanbabo to go after the suspects, resulting in the arrest of the 130 suspects.

During the raids carried out at the weekend in Brazillan Night Club, Ogo-Oluwa Hotel, Tolu and Boundary market, where the suspects were picked up, the CP disclosed that eight machetes, two double barrel short guns, a cut-to-size short gun, a pistol, a toy gun and a bayonette were recovered.

Also, Manko paraded two men who were drivers of two banks in Lagos and ten other accomplices. The other driver is Rasheed Anifowoshe who was attached to Ecobank Plc, Okoto branch, Isolo.

He said on May 25, 2012, Taiwo Aremu invited armed robbers to raid the bank after the close of business during which a sum of N8 million was allegedly carted away.
Manko said the bank driver received a sum of N1 million as his own share of the loot but nemesis however, caught up with him the following day, May 26 when he and his gang members wanted to launch another raid, as he was arrested at the verge of calling his other members through his mobile set.
