300 Nigerians Deproted from Bostwana

                                  

No fewer than 300 Nigerians living in the Republic of Botswana have been deported home by Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama’s administration in the past few months, after the authorities refused to renew their permits.

The angry deportees want President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Assembly to quickly look into the relations between Botswana and Nigeria in order to ascertain the true conditions of Nigerians living in that country.

Unknown gunmen on Saturday night killed four people at a hotel in Uche Road Sabon Gari, Zaria, just as a motorcycles’ dealer, Andy Okafor, that was shot on Thursday night died yesterday at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika, Zaria.

When contacted on phone, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Femi Adenaike, told our correspondent to meet him at his office for the police side of the story.

Father Gives Six-Month Old Baby a Life Snake as Toy

Her family cannot afford to buy her toys so this this six-month-old plays with snakes instead. Sidhi Siddharth Sinune crawls behind the python and shrieks in delight as it weaves through her tiny legs.

While her parents are away working in the fields in a rural Indian village in Maharashtra, the baby girl pats the reptile and even playfully bites its tail.

The non-venomous snake could easily squeeze Sidhi to death or swallow her whole.

But her father, Siddharth Sinune, said he cannot afford to buy her toys – instead bringing home his prey from his job as a snake catcher.

Before putting them back in the forests, he keeps them at home for his only daughter’s amusement.

Siddharth said: ‘Sidhi has an unusual bonding with the snakes and surprisingly they too like to play with her.

‘Being a poor farmer, I can’t buy her costly toys but I can get her snakes to play with. Snakes ke! Ki lo se man ni naaa..More pictures below...

The Federal Road Safety Commission has warned that old number plates will become invalid by September 30, 2013.

Some months ago, the commission introduced new number plates which will replace the old ones.

The commission said in a post on Facebook on Thursday that from October 1, 2013, it would amount to an offence for anyone to use the old number plates.

 

Justice Kayode Eso Dies

The Father of Judicial Activism in Nigeria, Justice Kayode Eso is dead. The popular judge died at his home in Lagos today according to a family source.

Justice Eso is regarded as one of the most daring and respected judge of the Nigerian Supreme Court to ever live. Born in Ilesha in Osun state, Justice Eso has a bachelors as well as masters degree in law from the Trinity College in London.
He was aged 87.

Justice Esho since the beginning of this year had stayed more in the UK than Nigeria.
He only returned home in October to receive his country’s belated honor, Commander of the Order of the Niger.

According to the source, Pete Eneh died few moments ago at Park Lane hospital in Enugu. The actor, who lost one of his legs to amputation few days ago, has been battling with his infected leg after being unable to get proper medical attention when he first had pains in the leg.

Monju Begum, a 40-year-old Bangladesh woman stopped an alleged rapist in his tracks when she reportedly cut off his penis and then took it to police as evidence.

According to police, Begam’s neighbor, Mozammel Haq Mazi, forced his way into her shanty and began sexually assaulting her.

Investigators say Begum stopped the attack by cutting off his penis  She then placed the evidence into a polythene bag and took it into police as proof that Mazi had attempted to rape her. Continue to see uncensored photo.

The huge and strategic parcel of land located at the junction of Alfred Rewane Road (Kingsway Road) and Glover Road in highbrow Ikoyi has been demolished to make way for prime construction believed to be blocks of serviced luxury flats.
